Steve Boraz Roger Sambrook Tom Pyszczynski is Director of Human Factors Research for the UCCS Homeland Security Center. He received his Ph.D. in social psychology in 1980 and has been on the faculty in the Psychology Department at UCCS since 1986. His research focuses on psychological, social, and cultural factors that encourage and discourage support for terrorism and violent solutions to inter-group conflict. He has published over 130 articles in scientific journals and 3 books, including “In the Wake of 9/11: The Psychology of Terror.” He recently received a Presidential Citation from the American Psychological Association for his work on the role on Terror Management Theory.
